We had product giveaways from Crescent Artists/Rendr, Kola, Robots Will Kill, MaryJane Clothing, MQ, Few&Far, BlockByBlock and more. Music was by DJ Agana!!! Mike Bam and Peter Gambacorta were photographing and Rudy Salazar did the video. Appreciate all the help from everyone to make this possible and Yuki for the space.

The RVA Street Art Festival will return to Richmond September 11-15 and revitalize 5.5 acres of walls and buildings on the former GRTC depot on Cary St. with public art, murals sessions, sculpture, and mixed-media exhibits a s well as stories and ideas about the history and future of transportation in Richmond, Virginia.

Nationally and internationally acclaimed artists will join with RVA’s abundant local talent to create murals on the trolley barns, create sculpture using materials on site, offer local made crafts, food and drink, arts education activities for children, and focusing on expanding the conversation about transportation options and potential in Richmond. All proceeds benefit the programs at Art 180.

The festival will showcase the creative power of street art, liven up the drab walls and attract people to the immense outdoor art gallery as well as spark a creative discussion about transportation. Spectators will watch large murals and sculptures come to life and color and creativity explode on site all while being able to interact with the artists.

A “Paint the Walls” pre-party will take place on Wednesday, August 21 where attendees can tour the site pre-festival and take part in wheat pasting walls and every attendee will get 60 seconds with a can of Ironlak to create a collaborative mural that will be incorporated into the festival.

The Infamous Magazine release in Oakland

the infamous mag cover

Few & Far earned a feature spot in the well known graffiti magazine Called The Infamous. We were also given the cover, which was illustrated by the talented Merlot. The story for the feature was written by another amazing artist from our crew – graffiti artist Hops.

Also, selections from a recent photo shoot in which Erin Ashford and Meme paired up to do was also featured in the magazine layout, along with other images by Jaime Sanchez. The girls were able to make it to the opening where Agana was DJing the party and Meme and Jenn Ponci painted the wall in the gallery. The girls had a great time chatting it up with Few & Far fans and friends who came out to show their support.
